In front of a PC....
Hello all,

Was washing my car the other day. When I was cleaning the drivers side rear alloy I noticed this bit stick out from under the car. Looks like some tube of somesort but not sure what its? Should I be worried????

Does it move or is it attached to the exhaust, it could be a stabiliser for the exhaust. (I could be talking shizzle but it looks metallic in the pic).....

Not sure...my fat hands can't get into that bit and I can't be arsed jacking the car up to check at the moment but it might give me the excuse to finally get my spacers fitted.
Its not a stabliser for the exhaust though as I know/seen how that fits in (custom job)

I thought that it might be that but wasn't sure. Car is running sweetly though and VAG.COM doesn't show any errors. Obvioiusly I wasn't paying enough attention before when I was cleaning the alloys :cartman:

p.s. How is the car running mate?

ok, but i have issues like burning too much oil, wildly negative fuel trims, and smoke coming ot the engine from somewhere, so im getting it looked at by jabbasport in a few weeks.

It this not the pipe that if you over fill the fuel tank it drips down out here onto the ground instead of all over the side of the car

You can see the small hole underneath the fuel filler when you are putting fuel into the car.

Hmmmmmm you might have a point there. Shall ask the garage the next time its in for a service as it looks like nothing that I should be worried about.
Thanks guys!!

Yes, that's exactly what it is, when looking at your filler cap there is a small hole underneath and when fuel spills, thats where it comes out of :)

Fingers crossed that you get it sorted mate. Would love to see your car again and see it running 100%
