Airbag light!

I went ver a pot hole last night and the air bag light on the dash came on, this morning when I started it up the light is still on and now the 'airbag off' light is flashing,

could somebody tell me if there is an easy way to check the connections for the airbag seeing as I went over a bump and it came on, or could it be a more serious problem?

thanks:shrug:

this is spooky i had exactly the some problem last night pot hole/airbag light, took it to a garage today and was told that the light could not be reset, so he said its one of two things
some connector might have popped out with the the car hitting the pot hole or the thing connected to the airbag could be damaged[ sorry cant remember what its called] if that's the case its a new airbag 700 quid for that:cry: one good thing is that its not tested in your M.O.T so i can get it fixed in my own time. but if you have a family i would try and sort it as soon as poss. will let you know how it gos on tuesday when hes took the bag out and had a look:blink:

i dont know about your car exactly, but its a common fault with seatbelt pretensioners which are also connected to the SRS system (airbag). Poke around under your front seats and ensure that they are connected firmly. They are very sensitive and doesnt require much to fail...

Yep very very common problem this especially with Peugeots, I'm guessing the Leons have the same wires under the seats for the air bags.........although saying that its usually moving the seat up/down back/forwards and not going over bumps that cause problems.

sorry to bring up an old thread:

Took the glovebox out yesterday to have a poke to find a way through to the engine bay... and after rebuilding the glovebox back on... i now have this light.

Is this merely coincidence? or have i done something wrong?

mine did the same at christmas hit a pot hole light came on so i had poke under the seats and made sure all conectors were pushed in then took off the plastic side mouldings where the seat belt goes in and had a push down on the conector in there then put it on vag .com reset light and its not come back on that was 6 weeks ago and still no light :)
