Right, so it's 4 new tyres time. After looking at the options, and previous threads, i contacted "blackcricles". I asked their advice and a very helpful (and clued up) young fella ran me through all the most popular options (toyo, p-zero etc etc) and helped me make a choice. He told me to steer clear of Avon and Yoko's (says they shread like paper- too soft) and said the best option for price vs performance is "Kumho ku31 ecsta" in 205/45/16 (for my ibiza cupra R super t's). I then asked the price and was quoted £219 for 4 of these delivered to my door. Just the ticket if you ask me.
A write up of these tyres will follow in the next couple of weeks. Ko3s went in this morning and will be mapped tomorrow. Things are all smiles for me right now.

The point of this lengthy passage is: try "blackcircles" for your tyres. i was pleasantly surprised.

yeah, I got t1r's..... Black circles were about £72 a corner... there was a discount to get 5% off. However, camskill did em at £56.50 a corner............ Guess where I went :D

I sure do!! have always gone for the proxies but they are shocking in the wet.
Have Yoko Prada spec 2's atm which i find much better than the proxies. Although like above most tyres are pants in the wet.

Uniroyal Rainsport 2's ftw :D

I've done a track day round Brands in the pouring rain and didn't once feel like the car was letting go

I had rainsports on the front when i brought my cupra and admit that they felt pretty good.

my proxes t1r's worked out about 20£ cheaper off camskill. arrived next day aswell. I wouldnt use any other tyre than t1r's

Pah! There are alot better tyres than T1R's buddy!!

I love the F1s in the wet and dry. I have Toyo Proxies 4 and they are rubbish in everything..!

F1s will be next after these are shreaded (won't be long just getting my remap and all...)

I find pretty much every tire ive bought to be pretty poor in the wet...

Exactly what I was thinking. Strange to see ssoooo many people using them. Goodyear Eagle F1's without a shadow of a doubt. Used on my Corsa LET and were good rain or shine.

Yoko Parada spec 2, done two track days including an absolute hammering on sunday and theyre still lasting well, superb grip in the dry as well. I wouldnt put anything else on my car now.

I think theyre better the GSD3's i had last time, and certainly lasted longer although the goodyears were maybe a little better in the wet, but as i dont drive the car in the wet much im not that bothered.

Px4's are poo. fact.

F1's are WAY too hard for me, dont get on with them AT ALL, good when its wet, but no fun in the dry!

Yeh i agree, toyos are so over rated. Got 4 on my car at the moment(came new when i bought my alloys) and the front are nearly gone. Average grip in the dry and horrid, almost dangerous in the wet. Will probably go for good years next
