Thinking of putting EBC discs and pads on my FR, don't fancy putting larger discs on just yet.

Just wondering what ppls experiences of greenstuff/redstuff pads are, have heard green dust more and are not as sharp?

I had redstuff ceramics on my Focus ST, and they gripped well with no squeaking and much less dust than the Ford OE pads. However..... they were 'implicated' in warping my discs, so I'm not sure I'd risk them again without grooved / drilled discs and a decent cold air feed to the wheel arch.

How much of this actually applies to the MkIV, I don't know, but that's my $.02

Id go with neither aswell Redstuff pads you have to sort of heat up before they work to there full potential hence they are great for track days not so gd for daily driving! Greenstuff ive heard are good but wear down pretty fast but i suppose its personal opinion and the driver in the end.

Go with the ferodo's dude :)

I had carbon ceramic pads on my Honda Blackbird. Several times I scared myself running around town when the brakes hadn't heated up enough to be efficient. Once hot they slowed me up sharpish, but when they weren't hot that was another matter.

im running EBC Greenstuff pads with EBC drilled and grooved front Discs

The brakes are alot better now than the standard ones but the Greenstuff Pads produce more Brake dust

Im gonna go for Ferodo's next aswell as ive heard excellent reviews of them

Heard this too they are racing/track day brakes thought really aren't they? Think people think they would be 'cool' to get but they are not suitable? I keep hearing Ferodo name about too are they track brakes or everyday?

Redstuff are the Track ones IIRC hence why they dont work well because you carnt really get the heat in them using them as everyday brakes

I think the yellows are the track day, green are supposedly cars below 200bhp and red for those above 200bhp.

My reds didn't need any warming up to use.

None of them

Ferodo DS2500, I recommend them all the time! :) If you not liking the price of them, then Pagid Fast Road. Use them on the rear brakes.

Badger 5 I get my pads from and I use 305mm discs with Brembos, cars been used for track and some road abuse and I have never had brake fade from them once...... only time it happens is the very 1st time you get them up to a high temp then they won't do it again.

Cheers guys, will let you know what I end up with...just ordered my Milltek Turbo Downpipe, with all forge hoses and planned remap, so thought uprating stopping would be advisable!

When I went for my brake upgrade i got the EBC Hardened discs and ferrodo (baggins) pads.

Both pads and discs are great. the hardened discs are barely wearing and the pads grip really well.
