Whats the standard turbo on the leon cupra?

Hi all just wanted to know what the standard turbo is thats fitted to the leon cupra 1.8t mk1? Was thinking of upgrading and noticed the k03 turbos are quite cheap? Are they much different from standard?

i think the standard turbo is a K03, think you can hybird to K03s which would be the cheapest option

yeah hybriding the turbo is the cheapest option.

im saving up to hybrid my own.

im not sure if you can fit the ko4 on the lcr to the lc 1.8t,if you can,thats another option

I think when they hybrid the ko3 + s they put the internals from the ko4 LCR inside the housing of the ko3?

So whats the difference between a k03 and a k03s? And when you hybrid a k03 its a case of replacing the internals of it with ones from a k04. Does anyone know if you can directly fit the k04 straight to the early leon cupras like faisal said?

The turbo on the LCR needs a different manifold, downpipe, CAT's, injectors, etc. A K04-001 will go straight on but is only really good for around 250bhp.

A K03 will only squeeze out around 200bhp, a K03S around 230bhp, a K04-001 around 250 and a K04-023 around 270bhp (with remaps).

think depends on turbo but been quoted 550 plus vat with a forge actuator for my k04 23

I think you need to budget about 2-2.5k to do a hybrid conversion inc maping FMIC, pipes, injectors, manifold, new Tip etc?
