$£%&"£"!** indicators

has anyone ever had a problem changing the indicator bulb in the front headlight, i went to change mine tonight and other than having to remove the cannista that sits in the way and then condtend with the sharp edges of the headlamp suround eventually the old bulb came out, however getting the bloody thing back in was even worse, so much so that i'm going to have to take it to the stealer tomorrow :(

i get the feeling that all might not be well with the lamp, the holder clips and turns and the section built into the headlamp seems to trun with it, i've never know anything so tight. It might be my fault but there is no way the bulb is going back in. I'm going to have to see what the dealer says ...

Try finding someone with small hands - I changed several indicators and side lights at the Bucks meets cos I was able to reach without getting skinned.
They may be able to refit it for you or work out what is wrong :)

They are tighter than a nuns chuff !

I used a pair of mole grips to turn mine, & you need to turn the bulb, but also pull. When pulling you need to make sure your pulling horizontaly or it won't come out.

When you refit, you need to make sure the bulb case is in the original position, otherwise you bulb won't flash :(

Have search too, there's a few threads on this subject

well even in daylight its no use, i've took a feed from the side indicator and solder a wire onto the back of the indicator, it don't look pretty and i have the bulb light on but at least i have indicators all the way around, i'll be off to the dealers on monday. They can have a look at the broken airvent and clicking door mirror at the same time. At least i know where the money goes on an Audi, they supply there car assembly teams with files !
