How many coil packs

i have only had my cupra for 4 months and already had 2 coil packs go. i was just wondering how long people have had their ibiza and how many coil packs have you had go.

had my cupra for a year now and have just had 1 coil pack go yesterday morning on the way to work but got a geninue part for £20

Wish i had the same luck i had the 2 go at the sametime.lol. got a mate work at a seat dealer so got the cheap

well there are 4 in total and the newer versions appear to be better.
There was a recall and extended warranty of coil packs as the VAG group sort of admitted that a certain batch were potentially poor quality.

So you may find the remaining two are potentially going to go, but after that you should be ok as long as the dealer is giving you the latest versions.

I've never personally, but I haven't had mine too long... They seem to have gone before though as I have TT ones fitted to mine (bolt down for those who don't know )

Also have 2 or 3 push downs in the boot as spares

it had two changed just befor i got the car si should be fine for a little while i hope.lol. i am thinking of getting the bolt down ones because they seem better.

Ive had car 10months and replaced 5 one replacing one for the second time i decided to replace all. So i now have 3 spare in boot.

I have had mine for 1yr 9months and have had 2 go and one has just gone. Have got 4 new ones to replace them all. Will keep the ones that are ok as spares.

your isnt a cupra though, so it doesnt have a coilpack, its on spark plugs mate

ive had mine 3 years 4 months and had 1 go about 3 months ago so i replaced all 4 at he same time so ive got 3 spare

I had my secong go today, last one went 3/4weeks ago. So going to replace the remainging 3 so all 4 are new.
My mate has an audi TT, he bought it brand new back in 2002, and within 3months one of the coil packs blew. He hasn't had any probs since though

i have my cupra a few months and is my first 1.8t comin off the back of mk2 golf gti's polo gt's etc. so was nervous about a few things when buyin it first. this was one of them cause they seem to give major trouble. very tempted to just buy 4 and have em in the boot. must check if the ones on it now are the bolt down or the push down ones.

just out of interest how much are these on average.
