Cupra Arghhhhh
Depending on what genre your into; I suggest:

Hip-Hop:
Beastie Boys --Intergalactic --(Hello Nasty)
Sir Mix-A-Lot --Sleepin' wit My Fonk -- (Chief Boot Knocka)
Cypress Hill --Stoned is the way of the Walk -- (Cypress Hill)
Digital Underground --The Humpty Dance - (Sex Packets)
Run DMC -- Runs House (Tougher Than Leather)

Dance:
Public Domain -- Let Me Clear my Throat (HardHop Superstars)
Prodigy -- Smack my Bitch up (Fat of the Land)
Chemical Brothers -- Galvanize (Push the Button)
DJ Misjah & DJ Tim -- Access, KY Jelly Babies remix

DnB:
Origin Unknown -- Valley of the Shadows
Pulp Fiction -- Alex Reece
Bad Ass -- Mickey Finn & Aphrodite
Metropolis -- Adam F (Colours)

Hmmm, all of these bring back good memories of ear wear n tear. I know the majority of these played a big part in the destruction of my Earthquake 15" (in me mkII Ibiza Cupra Sport Plus!), and upon relistening to these tunes tonight I'm very tempted to burn all of these to a cd and drive up to my mum's in Reading and get my Rockford 15" & Phoneix Gold 500rms amp and re-live my yoot, even if it is only for one day.

Whats with all the hip-hop? lol

Nightwish - Master Passion Greed
or The Poet and The Pendulum
or Sahara (some proper good deep bass from drums and the orchestra in this one)....

That'll make your car shake.....

I'm a through and through rocker and even I agree that Hip Hop tracks are much more bass focused.
However if you want to test the "PUNCH" of a sub Metal does that quite well especially with complex double kick patterns.

For example that, If your sub can play that song and not just create a "Blur" of bass, You've got yourself a rather dapper Sub.

You'll Be Under My Wheels / The Prodigy / Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned

Omen / The Prodigy / Invaders Must Die

Angel / Massive Attack / Mezzanine

Ooh La La / Goldfrapp / Supernature

Enter Sandman / Metallica / Black Album

Fasten Your Seatbelt / Pendulum [Feat. Freestylers] / Hold Your Colour

Girls & Boys / Prince / Parade

I & I Survive / Burning Spear / Chant Down Babylon: The Island Anthology

One Dove / Antony & The Johnsons / The Crying Light (No, not a joke! This slow, moody number is underpinned, surprisingly, by a very deep, lung-rattling bass-line.)

The Boom Boom Rap / Scritti Politti / White Bread Black Beer (Another slow 'un but has a deeeep, surging bass synth.)

Mortiis - Underdog (Zombie Girl Remix) from the Grudge remixes album....

If your stereo can pull that off without losing the detail in the mids and bass then you are on a winner.

FWIW - and its only my opinion - people put too much emphasis on bass and not enough on quality. I am a bit of an audiophile and have yet to hear a good well balanced car system. The environment for them is all wrong (big padded box) and your listening position in relation to the speakers is woefully wrong too. If you want to spend hundreds on a stereo buy one for your living room (a proper one not one from currys/argos/etc) and live with the medocre car one.... your money will be much better spent.

Prodigy, Leftfield, especially Leftfield - Phat Planet (Dave Clarke Mix) or Underworld - King of Snake (Dave Clarke mix), Chemical Brothers - Under the Influence. LFO - Freak.

Try These, they test any system.
