Morning guys and gals.

Have been after an Ibiza for a while now an am going to look at 3 Ibiza Sport 1.9Tdi' today.

Just any advice on what to look for and whether I should look for the FR or save some money and go for the 100bhp?

Looked at some posts already and am liking it already :)

id say depends what you want if you want a sporty/firm ride sport 130 or fr or
everyday commuter 100bhp one will do but ull get board of the power qiuck,
fr look nice ad rather have had the fr instead the my sport just look wise but same base n power

also sport 130 is cheaper to insure then a fr

Well being 24 and a new driver, I have really not got the insurance on my side. Have been given a decent quote for a Sport 100. But the FR is a fair bit more (about 150 - 200) to insure.

Is that all? -__- not fair.

I paid 800 this year for a 1.2, with a years no claims lol. Ah the joys of not yet being 20+.

Thought I'd let you know how I got on today.

Well in all honesty they were poop. One with worn out discs, pads and tyres and the wheel had an actual gouge in it. I left well alone. Others still weren't great for the money.

However went to my local Seat dealer and enquired about tdi's and was told they have an 04 FR in next week.

Any more advice on what I've already got?

Everyone screams 'get an FR/Cupra' so I naturally wanted one of them.

Don't dismiss a 100BHP until you drive one, I DID dismiss it before I drove one then I did and guess what I drive now. :)

I love mine to BITS!

Seriously, drive one. It's by no means slow. Very torquey. The FR is not so much quicker than people would lead you to believe. This is based on me driving both.

I've a 57 Plate one in Red <--- On Coilovers (coming out because I hate them) and other than that, standard.

Any questions at all, feel free to ask.

Ph1l, cheers for the advice mate! I'm open and can probably get a newer Sport 100 for my money. But honestly the state of these buggers today was shameful.

No problem! I was 18 and my insurance on it was £1800 so not too bad considering I'm from what most insurers think is still a warzone (Northern Ireland) and that I have 0 NCB.

Yeah I looked at some real DOGS before I got mine.

It was MINT Seat UK car - 4,000 miles since new FFSH and with a few freebies because I bought it from an official dealer. £8,500 got them down to £8,000 in Feb of this year. I was happy enough with the deal considering the milage of the car!

It was like new.

Keep looking, you'll find a good one.

Well, I went to have a look at a Sport 100 and came back, the proud owner of an FR.

Silly Robin.

Not got insurance on your side?? Try being under 21! I have 1 year ncb, and my insurance on my 1.4 100 petrol is still £1000.
