Hey guys, sorry to continue this on as i started another thread relating to this a few weeks ago. I ordered a catback system for my remapped ibiza fr tdi. Unfortunatly with going on holiday the week before i had to cancel it due to funds. I am now toying with the idea of a turbo back millteck BUT......
i do have quite a lot of worries. Warranty, the car is on an 08 plate and i got the diesel as i do a total of 80 miles a day commute to work and back. SO i am worried about added strain to the remapped engine as well. The car sits on the rolling road at 180bhp 280 ft lbs of torque. Will adding the exhaust sytem mean a new uprated clutch, turbo, injectors, frontmounted intercooler? What are the general gains with a turbo back millteck exhaust?
Cheers guys any help would be great

Dont worry about the warranty , the warranty covers individual parts so they will just not warrant the exhaust

If i understand you correctly then fitting the exhaust wont bother the rest of the car , what i would do is get the exhaust , get fmic ,get other mods and then have a custom map to compensate all these mods

Cheers mate for reply, so yo would suggest FMIC, turbo, clutch?. I take it that would mean my standard parts wouldnt cope with turbo back exhaust gains?

Yeh you can fit the exhaust

you probably wont feel any gains with it tho till after having a custom map

but i would advise getting all your mods done before you map it

defo get the exhaust, clutch, FMIC done before a turbo then a remap. if your going that far then you might aswell go hybrid turbo. all the internals will cope fine! there are quite a few diesels runing around the 230-250bhp mark with stadard internals

You got your's yet?

Not yet mate Sarah still hasnt got back to me about the RS4 style tail pipe and im not getting any other tail pipe as ive heard the oval can sit too far under the bumper and tbh yours is just spot on so im gonna have to phone up and just order it with that requested tail pipe cos i phoned up miltek and the guy quoted me £375 for it but im not sure if awesome will get it cheaper will wait and see! Awesome said the downpipe would be ready for roughly the 17th so still got a bit to wait im pulling my hair out id even just be happy looking at it haha but by that time i can go ahead and order the centre section so i will get it all in one go! Found a mechanic that will do me a homer :D not got a price yet but shouldnt be too much as hes a gd mate with a guy i work with.

It'll be well worth the wait mate :)

damien if you had gone for a custom exhaust what bore size would you have gone with?
as the miltek is 2.75 i think im right in saying that.
was looking at a leon 180 thread the other day not sure if the exhaust is any different but they were saying that the down pipe is restrictive from miltek not sure if thats the same for our cars or not?

I thought the Miltek's were 2.5"

I have had my standard duwn pipe next to the Miltek one and you can see the difference.
TBH I dont think you could get much larger of a down pipe due to the size of the turbo outlet. Even on the Miltek dp the bolt holes on the flang are very close to the wall of the pipe.

I think I remember reading that the Miltek system for the mk2 Leon Cupra is 2.75".

must have been me misreading again lol.
probally is 2.5.
so thats what you would go for with custom exhaust. im unsure wether to get a full miltek or full custom exhaust now as theres a powerflow dealer that has opened near me not sure what there like though.

I was quoted just under £500 for a cat back system from them

If I was going custome I would try to get a 2.75" system, But TBH 2.5" is more than enough mate.

afaik = as far as I know

Rash had to change the down pipe when he put the IHI on as the IHI has a different turbo flange. Its owned by someong who is on here (dont get on here much I think) and I think it is/was for sale again.
