Ive just bought an Ibiza FR TDi with the PD130 engine, im just wondering which remapping company will give me the greatest increase in power and torque...
Ive heard that angel tuning are good offering a map thats just under 180bhp without any other mods...
Any help please???

i'd say p-torque, revo for performance or a smoother map from Custom Code...i'm yet to see which i'll go for myself ;)

p torque for performance and smoothness;) the revo map has big torque spikes which gives the kick in the back when flooring it. the down side it will munch the standard clutch!

Well, so far it looks like its gonna be P-Torque unless i get a surge of people telling me otherwise...
How much power will i be able to put through the standard clutch before it gets ripped to shreds???

clutch is good to 300lbs...but seen people with more and still been fine, its more about how you drive it!

im pretty gentle with mine and wait till im up in the rev range before pushing it..usually about 2500-3000

yep...i wonder :)

think we got almost same mods, except you have collies and arb...

hopefully get a 2 nd hand arb this week, heard it makes so much difference!

i know i have a slighty smooth air intake which might give me the end:lol: other then that i have my go faster nurburg sticker on now so should be me hands down:cartman: and if all that fails black is always faster;)

I seen a 130pd make a very smooth 345lbft 176bhp, The company who tuned it is mad on the Golf 1.8Ts and TDIs. My own 300bhp+ 1.8T was mapped by them and my wifes Fabia VRS was tuned to 290lbft 170bhp.

The graph can be found here halfway down the page. http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/270216.aspx

Just to add

I found out that one of our local taxis was tuned by them a few years back. I met the driver last week after a all night bender he took us home in his Passat 130pd with 270k on the clocks and 170bhp 300lbft under the bonnet with a MPG reading of 67mpg.

big power and torque is only ok if you plan on changing clutch when cold weather comes....

we're running approx 170 bhp and 390NM. No clutch shudder and very quick through gears. Asked for peak torque to be reduced.

I've had 3 130pd's now and they are brutal with heavy torque delivery.

about the same as ours....more than that is not really necessary in my eyes. Been there.

My first 130pd was tuned to 180+bhp and approx 410nm Torques (310lb/ft) and it was dangerous in wet and clutch slipped like feck when anbient temp dropped and more dense air in atmosphere.

Same map applied to the 130pd A3 i bought next and that needed a clutch straight away. Both cars suffered terrible clutch shudder

It's not all about how much you got.....how it's delivered! - bit like sex really

Not sure where you are but for the North try RS Tuning in Leeds or Awesome GTi in Manchester.

Edit, for the people that have had maps from P Torque, have you had it rolling roaded anywhere else?
