Hey there folks

I guess I could say 'you know you've just bought an Mk2 Ibiza when you spent all morning reading through 966 posts, lol' and are pretty much waiting for it all to start happening.

so far, rattling heat shield, hope its that simple any way, and no rear washer, so there must be a puddle somewhere.

Anyway time to catch up on work, d'oh

I'm thinking of re-enforcing mine with metal glue a la cupra kid
Certainly won't hurt

Still holding fine now... coming up to 12 months, was supposed to be a quick fix as well :D

Only thing i would say when you do it, glue bare metal to bare metal as thats unbreakable, painted surfaces the bond isn't as strong (i've been experimenting with other things since).

Thanks for the top tip
Mine is currently bolted, but am wanting to re-enforce mine as its getting on a bit now.
As soon as I get a job and a bit of money coming in I think I will change the clutch and cable too, as mine is starting to feel a bit as Dolly described his due to duff friction plate??

No rear washer should be the pipe by the rear left light cluster. Just needs pushed back on.
Unlike mine that once connected it simply pours water down the outside of the boot as the jet has been snapped off!
Got new motor with jet today for ten pounds though so not all bad.

Hope you are enjoying your new mk2 as much as me!

Hope you are enjoying your new mk2 as much as me!

Only picked it up on Saturday Morning, White 2.0l 8v GTi Cupra Sport (love that title), got it for £950, and in good condition with 12 months MOT and 6 Months Tax, so trying not to jinx it. All stock as well, except the floor mats, wouldn't mind tracking down some originals.

I'm sure i'll be about asking noob type questions in some of the other posts

So for now, Hello

no matter how solid and strong and pleasing the 16v is you still wanna rip it apart and stick a turbo and throttlebodies and a supercharger and nitrous on it

PS- anyone know of an ABF twin 40/45's manifold is :)

You know you have a mk2 when you think its trying to tell you something.

Reason being I was looking at a valver at my local Seat dealership that I was considering getting, then today the bolt holding my pedal box together finally decided to sheer. So I am currently in the process of changing the pedal box just now.

I really think my 1.4 is trying to tell me something.

you know you have a mk2 Ibizia when

you see many 16v'ers advertised on autotrader and as always are actually 8v but amazingly stumble over one that even a SEAT Dealer has listed wrong :confused:

shame
