Has anyone on here fitted intercooler spray ?
My rear washer is leaking and instead of fixing it i was thinking about just putting spray nozzles facing the intercoolers and just putting clean water in the washer bottle. Would this give much of a difference in air temp or is it just a waste of time?
Im going on a run what you brung on bank holiday and trying to sneak a little quicker times lol

To be honest I don't really know as it was on my big FMIC for my 5GTT and I fitted the intercooler and the water spray at the same time :)

This thread got me thinking, it's an interesting idea since I was considering removing my rear wiper anyway. I Googled it and it seems you may well come back to the car about an hour later and find a puddle by your FMIC.

Apparently, the washer fluid reservoir doesn't have a check valve to prevent all the water from dripping out. It doesn't need one when it is used to clean the rear window since the nozzles are positioned high enough above the reservoir. Now that you have the nozzles for the IC spray lower than the reservoir, all the water will drain out.

It looked from the pics like this was on a Subaru, so I can't guarantee this will happen, but it makes sense. Apparently the solution is to either get nozzles with built in check valves or to buy an inline check valve and splice it into the hose that goes from the reservoir to the rail.
