The cat is part of the down pipe you will have to change the whole down pipe too.

But if your going to do a k04 conversion you will need a custome down pipe too.

Better off just getting a full turbo back exhaust for your current setup then when your ready get a k03 hybrid instead of a k04. Same power.

its not all its cracked up to be to be honest.. The guy I sold my k03s to can keep dead level with me and my hybrid. He has a mk3 Cupra. :ban:

k04 is a much better bet as its simply a bigger turbo than a hybrid k03s. For the cost of a hybrid you could find a cheap k04, get a manifold, and have a downpipe made i bet. Backdraft have 2nd hand k04 manifolds for £85 or so last time i looked.

i think ive seen on a few threads that people have had problems with there hybrid i think? so if i just get cat back and when i or if i decide to go for the k04 over the hybrid then just get a manifold made?? The hybrid option is appealing as it would be easier. I wouldnt even know where to start about trying to hybrid my turbo??
Thank for the help and advice.

Need an ID-ten-T form
Plus to fully install the k04 from a TT or LCR your going to also need

Vibrotechnics Uprated Engine Mounts
Genesis Uprated Injectors
4 Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator
4 Bar Fuel Pump
3" Air Mass Meter
New Turbo Intake Hose

and

a remap

probably new oil and coolant lines as the 225bhp turbo is not in the same location as the ko3's

uprated diverter valve

 Probably best to hybrid the KO3 then!
