KO3 vs KO3s Boost levels

Sorry if its been asked before. Just simply want to know the max each turbo is able to flow.

I have a standard KO3 which boosts to 12psi and holds in 1,2 gear. And in 3,4,5 gear is boosts to around 16psi and holds it to the redline.

Mate of mine says my standard turbo should not be able to do this. After i wooped his Megane 225 sport! :p

Mods are: Remapped by god knows who?! Blueflame full system, Carbonio 3" intake, Forge front mount. My car is also quicker than another one of my mates Cupra that has the same mods but has the KO3s and REVO....

Just a little confused why my car is this quick on the standard turbo :whistle: ?!

Well it has two pipes coming off the actuator?!

How can you tell its just a KO3 without taking it off?

just sounds remapped to me? A standard KO3 would normally peak to 20 / 21psi on a remap

Yeah thats what i thought. Revo'd it should peak at around 20psi, mine doesnt get close to that but yet its still fast enought to beat 240bhp ones, mapped Leons, modified Type Rs, 225 sports...pretty much everything on the road :p lol

If your beating mapped Leon Cupra R's, modded type r's etc easily then your not running just a remap, exhaust + intercooler. Where did you buy it from?

K well not 'easily' but yeah beating them. I'm just puzzled really, obviously happy but puzzled. All i have is Filter, Exhaust, FMIC and map so who knows. Also the power delivery is very different to other Cupras i've been in - Instead of having mid-range grunt and tailing off towards the redline mine seems to kick around 4k rpm and then stays strong to the redline.

Anyway kinda going on a lil' now, sure you peeps dont wana hear about this sh*t LOL

If someone in the area wants to come and check it out and do some logs etc....

EDIT: Brought the car from Crawley (near Gatwick airport )last week

Sounds like ko3 with remap. But if your beating ko3s ibiza's running 240bhp then either they cant drive or yours isnt a ko3.

Type R's are slow anyway. Shouldnt have any problem with them once remapped.

You may just be a good driver compared to others. Too many different things to take into context.. not just about power figures. Check your turbo and you will know for sure. 2 pipes off actuator is ko3 if i remember right though.

If your not boosting till 4KRPM then you have a Big Turbo of some sort.
Both the KO3 and KO3S will start boosting sub 3K same with hybrids. Sounds like you've stumbled upon a BT Ibiza

Right, im going to sound like an absolute numpty f****** idiot. Driving my car last night and its completely different to the way it drove a few days ago - Feels slow now, like really slow.

...Magic Ibiza maybe? Not happy! :redface:

Wow mate! 24/25 psi!

My gauge never reads above 16, bet she moves! Think im going to get REVO'd asap.
