You had one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake at the same time?

Normally if you have gas and brake together for more than a couple of secs the ECU doesn't like it and cuts power to the engine. The amount of brake you had on was enough to slow the car whilst also fighting against the fact that you were still on the gas. then the ECU says "spot fooking about and drive properly" and cuts the power, this means the amount of brake is now way too much and you stop very quickly. Stopping that quickly makes your body weight go forwards and makes you press on the brakes even harder, so much in fact that it probably cought you by surprise and you stalled it and there was some strange clocking noises as the engine rattled under the bonnet.

Maybe you should just use the correct feet on the correct pedals in future.

Gah, I often use light brake pressure over long periods with foot on throttle to slow down instead of engine braking so my rear lights are showing. Yeah I know it uses more fuel & wears the brakes down more but I'd prefer that than to have a t**t almost drive back of me because he didn't register I had backed off the throttle to gradually slow down by 10mph

Last time I did some driver training we found out that on a FWD car as long as you have decent brakes left foot braking with a light throttle input gives you an amazingly quick emergency stop.

Ive heard that, Alot of racing drivers use there left foot for braking, Anyways i was bringing my foot off the gas when i braked so only had it on the gas for a sec. Wont be doing that again
