Hello there.

corbys still misfiring, changed plugs, leads, dizzy and rotor arm..its still burning quite rich and running slugish. The car is also cammed but ive heard cams have problems with lamba sensors sometimes as they seem to act against eachother. so i dont know if that could be it.

what are the symptoms of a faulty ignition, preferbly answers from personal experience?

cheers :)

If your ignition coil has gone then typically you would have no spark at all. Likely causes, slight air/vacuum leak or temp sensor (or perhaps MAF along intake).

just my car is still misfiring and ive changed pretty much everything. Apart from the coil and distriputor so it has to be one of these

it could be on its way, my 1 was going and started misfiring!

if you know someone with another coil, swap it over see if it works!

when mine went felt a stutter as i pulled away from the lights
100yds next set felt a definite dive as it dropped spark - ticked over ok until i pulled off
3rd set stalled as i pulled off took ages to start
eventually died completely and rolled to a stop

after walking to work and changing plugs and checking fuel/spark etc i was giving up when it popped and banged on a lucky last minute check, manages to nurse it home slow by keeping it revved up and next day was all fine but changed coil and not missed a beat since

temperature i guess but no physical signs to make failure obvious

it does feel like a stutter as i pull off like, il see if i can get hold of another coil anyway. least i can say its been changed anyway even if it wasnt that considering its runnin over 100,000+ miles anyway.

fl@pper,

Did you get the same when bringing the clutch up at low revs? Mine is taking a while to fire from cold and isn't happy pulling away (stutters, power loss) for the first mile or so. Any ideas?
