can someone tell me why the garage keep getting the wrong cat, even with my registration number! My 8v has the lamda sensor but the dealers seem to think that it can't have and that if it does it means i need the 16v cat.:confused::help:

from memory, yours will have a 3 bolt flange on one end, where as the 16v one is welded in.

dunno

so did the 8v come with cats on some of them then? the big problem is that i have put the engine in a mk1 vw caddy but the original downpipe and cat were off already! will have a look at flanges in the catalogues.
