Hi guys,
Bit of an odd problem here.
Air-con packed in the other week and found out that I had a hole in my condenser (thanks to be fitting the FMIC too close )
Have now fitted a new condenser and had it re-gased and its back to normal now.
The last couple of days I've noticed that whenever I turn the air-con on (no matter if its on the hottest setting or the coldest setting) my engine fans go mental and as soon as I turn the air-con off the fans stop.
Any idea what could have happened? Sounds like the air-con electrics and engine fan electrics have all of a sudden joined together

When my air con is on, my fans are also on.

Aircon-on should put the fans on at slow speed. If they're going fast then its a fan controller failure or the slow speed resistors in the fans have broken.

If your stationary then your fan must be on otherwise your air-con would ice up...

Yup youve got to have air movement over the condenser coil otherwise you make your compressor work harder which will cause the refrigerant to get colder and instead of gettin a small layer of frost on the evaporator you will have a lump of ice...And you will slowly wear the compressor out as well
