Onboard computer retrofitting question, and suspension query.

Hi

Simple question, can I retrofit the onboard computer from the SE to the S? You know, the little stick.

Also, getting some new suspension bits soon, do I need to get some new top mounts, or is it just beneficial?

are you talking about fully retrofitting the whole DIS system ie MPG indicator etc?

If so try searching for DIS/FIS, there's the odd thread about on it.

Yes replace the top mounts their only £10 each, you would have to change all the wiring from the stalk to the ecu to get the comp to work, and possibly the clocks.

And yeah, just out of interest, why do I need to replace the top mounts? Will they be worn and buggered? What difference would it make? I'm going to replace them btw.

the top mount bushes soak up the small bumps in the road to make this a smoother drive and these are a mechanical link for the suspension

The top mounts also come with new bearings so not worth not changing them if your going to have the suspension to bits

Stealer quoted me like £36 for two new top mounts, there is a guy on here who can do them for like £18.

AND she quoted me £7.95 PER CENTRE CAP for LCR wheels LOL! She can die. I'm sure they come in packs of 4/5 anyway...
