HEY, has anyone got a pic of a wing from there cordoba sx coupe, as whe ive tried to change my wings the other week (mine are all dented and the lips have been cut out as it was quite low) anyway i found a 4 door saloon cordoba the same age as mine so i took the wings of that only to get home and found out they dont fit :S

DSC02060.jpg

THE WING OFF MY CORDOBA IS THE BOTTOM WHERE THE BUMPER MOUNTS LOOK DIFFERENT

The top wing is of the 4 door cordoba ive took the wings off. and both cars are an R reg so its the facelift one (same one thats on my avatar) but when ive googled on the wings, my wing looks like its the pre-facelift one but it that cant be as the headlights and reflecters are bigger than the pre-facelift ones. Ive already adressed this problem but everyone seems to have the top wing.

Also my bumper mountings are different as they fit on my wings perfectly but they dont fit on the wings i got off the saloon..and i dont want to have to change to a standard bumper without the foglamps just cos the wings ive got now(saloon wings) are a different fitting.

ARE ANYONE ELSE CORBY COUPE WINGS THE SAME AS MINE (BOTTOM WING IN PIC)

yours is the early model by the looks of the wing, see if your chassis number is up to >>> 6K-W-092405 (nov/dec 1997 build date)

may look the same as an ibiza facelift but it is indeed a cordoba pre facelift and looks like the car you dismantled is the later model

the small bumper/big bumper scenario is ibiza only - early and late cordoba had large bumpers but of 2 slightly different types so is an altogether different kettle of fish

Seat Inca front wing would be the most easiest to match up - same part number as the one you want and more widely available than the cordie early specific

my friends got two spare wings for me off his v-reg ibiza (same as the top one) and a bumper too but.... the bumper isnt the foglamp one. i was going to change the wings anyway but would it be possible to take the fittings out of the bumper my friend has and put them in my corby bumper which has the foglamps.

orrrrrrrrr could i put my foglamps the bumper hes gonna give me..it looks like there just black plastice covers where fog lamps would go.

you'll need and early cordie wing to match and early cordie bumper

if you fit ibiza later wings you will need a matching ibiza bumper/late cordie bumper

foglamps early and late cordie are different and brackets are not a swapover

would need a technical modify (bodge) either way

if you have an ibiza mk2 late bumper and wings then no worries, yes you will need later fogs and i'll have to pass on the connectors being same but with 2 wires max it would at worst be 4 pins and 2 bits of plastic to change if at all but take on up to it as they look close in shape even if listed different numbers, may be doable ??
pics to help may be clearer, ignore models shown just to point out the slight differences

thats what i ment tho...the bumper my friend is selling me (v-reg) one doesnt come with the foglamps standard but it looks its got the space for them to go in. so if buy some fogs for a facelift model them fogs should fit in the bumper yes?
