Tints

Got tints today... but not for the Ibiza, just the Focus this time! Ibiza will be getting done in the school holidays by the same company. I had the rear windows done (everything from the B pillar back) in 23% film. They are a nice light smoke tint, a nice and subtle look. Used a guy recommended by the Ford garage where I bought the car. Top service, great blokes and good finish too. Probably go darker on the Ibiza too!

Really? They look good on the Focus, I was just thinking a shade darker on the Ibiza (there is another tint they do that is 13%.)

They look quite dark on the focus so I wouldn't go any darker. Will look good on the ibiza.

Planning next mod...

Planning my next mod for the summer break.... I am going to paint my brake calipers and rear ARB and I want to do them the same colour!
Any suggestions or ideas on what colour would look best on my car? Whats the best stuff to use?

o and use the proper calliper paint as normal paint will crack and flake if it gets to hot.

Yellow would look sweet against the black! Especially if you paint your wheels black, which is another mod I'm thinking of doing!

not a fan of black wheels on a black car as you loose the wheel if you get what i mean!

anyway instead of painting your rarb, just take it off and lend it to me for the nurburg ring trip im on at the end of aug!

Lucky you. I fancy a trip to the Ring at some point and even my wife said she would do it! Isn't it about time you got your own RARB?

My callipers are red atm. They look ok but as st10587 said it's a bit boring. I'm going for a more oem look with my 312mm setup and have painted them high gloss silver. On ebay there is a guy that can make you up any colour (high temp) that you want! I'll try n find his details for you.

i think you should go black or grey to go with the black and grey theme grey if your getting your wheels done black. black if your keeping your wheels the colour they are.

Cool! I don't know if I will go for the 312mm mod so I might as well paint my calipers now.

sounds like you missed out on awesome gtis bargain whiteline rear arb deal a couple of weeks ago they were going for £100 so i took advantage of the offer. one of my favourite mods now.
