hi guys

i was thinking of putting a carputer in the car... does anyone know of any programs which i could use to moniter the car?? maybe it does a display like scanguage, race diagnostics etc

ah, nice... i can i ask what you used to connect the car to your pc?? was it just a normal vag com lead?? usb or serial?? plusr any pics!!

I'd really like to have a in-car PC as it'd be really easy for me to get a build for the boot, never really worked out in the Leon though where the screen can go - how you putting the touchscreen in the dash, guessing you'd have to try and make something or use a pop-out screen?

Not quite worked out how you get the audio to go to all the speakers either? Output on the PC will be 3.5mm jack?

if you run a soundcard or surround sound motherboard just use the jack plugs in the back soldered to leads up front

maplins do em in bare basic form so nothing some solder and heat wouldnt cure

If you have no sunroof?? you could use a fold down roof mounted monitor as alternative, can get em bigger dimensions then of course ;)

im more than likey going to use a tracker ball mouse instead of a touchscreen moniter, i already have a 6.5 alpine in the front and a 10.2 alpine in the roof!

or get an oem sat nav centre console. That way there would be a lot less work to do if you go cutty cutty choppy choppy

get a nice screen flat in one of them and look oem too
