i have just picked up my car from a german car specialist i took it there to sort out a misfire they had it for 2 days and couldnt find out what was wrong with it so i still have a missfire but im down lots off ££££ for labour ..... they told me it has a intemitent misfire around 3000-3500rpm butthey didnt know wat was causing it.. they tried a new maf sensor ...coolant temp still no joy .................has anyone else had this promlem or have ant ideas it would be great cos i dont really wanna sell up cos i love my seat.

im having the same problem with my corby coupe i think. does it feel like a flat spot in your acceleration on during certain rpm's?

yeah between 3000-3500 rpm sometimes it will do it sometimes not its so annoyin lol

yeah done them but not genuine ones... just said intermitent misfire .. no engine managment light on

i had something like that. but i fitted a boost gauge and it was only boosting 0.5lb which felt like it had a flat spot. Do you have a boost gauge?

yeah but its broken atm llol might take one off my boost gauges out of my starlet.... you it drops off and then goes back to the full 1.3bar

its only starting do this after i changed the coil pack .. so i changed the plugs but no joy

you need some one with vag.com, you need to monitor all 4 cylinders for misfire as you are on boost.
Plus some power run logs for maf, boost, cf.

if the gauge is not working, ensure tha vacum line is not leaking, just plump it up as it will effect the running

i dont have vag com and dont know anyone with it lol... and yeah i kno the needles just broken..just tried puttin one from my starlet in but there both bloody 64mm lol

have you posted a request in the vag-com section? to see if there is anyone in your area ???? i think this will be your best bet as we have covered the common solutions ! it could be electrical loose earth???
