Hi all

Been a member for a while, and there's a few pics dotted around the forums, so I thought it was about time they were all in one thread. Not too many Mk1 LC/LCRs in Jersey, and I've never seen another ovni one, so maybe I am "highlander".......

Here's a few more recent pics, wings mirrors now painted black and rebadged with the Mk2 CUPRA one.

Wheels now in for powdercoating, AP coiles on order, and will soon be colour coding bump strips.

And also had a polish and wax in pics 2 and 3!!

Here's a few more piccies.

Wheels now powdercoated satin black, about 50% gloss. I'm really happy with the finish, and makes my yellow calipers really stand out.

Also colour coded the bumpstrips, except the passenger side cause I ran out of paint! I'm sad to say she is no longer ovni!! The fading is so much that we had to get every yellow sample they had at the paintshop and try it against the car. That said, I actually think the match is pretty good.

Looks nice- could do with a new backbox though. Not too sure on the look of the standard one

Thanks guys.

I don't think the standard zorst is too bad, but would like to go REVO stage 2 in the future, so a new milltek or something similar may be on the cards eventually.

Think I prefer the yellow now i've done it. Just think it makes the car look a lot cleaner. I've smoothed them a bit with filler primer, but still a bit bobbly in places. You dont really notice unless youre really close:lol:

I'm gonna leave those for now. Might decide to do it at a later date. I've seen a few pictures of it done and not sure if i like it or not. Might just give it a rub with some trim detailer and see how it looks.

Just finding the time to finish the last strip is proving to be a bit of an effort at the moment:(

Loving the motor mate. Same theme am going for, picking up my silver 02 LC this weekend. You got any more modding plans?

Thanks very much. Booked in on Monday for service and AP coilover fitting, looking to go about 30ml lower so the wheels sit in the arches a bit better. Then i think i will paint a few bits and bobs in the engine bay such as battery/engine cover and perhaps manifold. Would also like to replace my coolent hoses to match the TIP and intercooler hoses. Must give my engine bay a clean and get a couple of pics up.

I'm sure i'll think of some other stuff eventually.........

You going for a silver/black theme then? Should look smart, post some piccies when you get going:D

get some pics up of it lowered 30mm
car is looking sweet

Thanks:D

I'll have it back tuesday or wednesday at the latest and take some pics then. But it will probably take a little while to settle on the new springs, so may not look much different straight away.

I'll get a REVO'd Octavia VRS to play with while it's in[B)]

Right, got her back from the garage. Heres some piccies. Just need to even them up a bit, about 10ml out front to back, and about the same side to side. Not sure how much lower the car is sitting as I forgot to measure the ride height before:doh:
