The LED glovebox light is nice, although the normal bulbs are actually better if you want to see anything! I did that with mine. Literally only today have I had to change my interior lights back to standard as fecking LEDs dont last at all! :( I had number plate lights and everything. The only LED's i have now are the sidelight bulbs... They do look nice while they work though!

its strange as my car kills the side lights but all the others have been fine:shrug: not to fussed if they dont last as i bulk brought 10 for a tenner off ebay

Good for you you buy them in bulks. :D

By the way, I'm still working on getting the aerial you want, it looks like it's more complicated than I imagined. :(
But I'll get it in the end, I'm stubborn. ;)

The problem lies in the fact that Calearo, the company that makes it, has taken back the franchising license to half of the stores becasue of the recession, so my friend is having a hard time finding somebody who sells their aerials, and they don't have an internet shop.

But not to worry, as I said I'm stubborn so I'll find a way. :)

ok just a small update and one that fellow people with towbars may find of use.......

i relocated my electrics socket from the boot to out side the car as i fear damaging the bumper draping the wire across it, or breaking a wire by closing the boot on to it. i did not want the socket to be seen as im trying to keep it looking uncluttered so this is what i did.

using the longer socket bracket that came with my bosal towbar, i cut a chunk off the end and bent a right angle into it so i could mount the socket under the bumper. i used the stud from where the original crash bar bolted to and one of the nuts to mount it, then run the wire out through the boot vent and down inside the chassis leg to a hole which was just about in the right place then reconnected the socket. i had to cut a piece off the arch liner so you have room to get to the socket but the piece did not seem to protect anything so im guessing it will be ok.

here are the pics

the socket sits just above my thumb

ok as boredom kick in again today i found a solution for the old problem of the Garmin wire draping down the dash........

first I found a spot to mount a 2nd cigar lighter socket

P1010557.jpg

then i made a bracket to fit in the space

then i wired the earth up to the metal frame of the dash and the live up to a switched live on the back of the headlight switch
