So what can I junk on my LCR?

the bonnet lining can be binned for sure

Just want to ask why that is there and what it is supposed to do?

You can also bin the evap system and fit a catch tank, and bin secondary air pump.

It's up to you really, will make your DV sound louder.

I have mine off for the summer, the only thing I notice is that the engine gets more dusty on top. Saying that I clean it every couple of weeks anyway so it's easy to notice when dirt is there. It's soon gone though

That's perfect, will do it tonight i think. Fingers crossed it will help with the heat as when i am getting out off the car the heat coming from underneath the car is unreal.

Its in for a full service tomorrow so i am hoping this will give the car a wee boost as it has been feeling a bit pooly recently.

Yeah just clipped on, should pull out fairly easily like mine did. Just don't be too forceful and break any. You'll need some paint cleaner & polish handy though, the underside of the bonnet will be a bit mucky.

I think you'll be surprised how much louder inside the DV is

Spare wheel, car jack and spanner bar, substitute this for tyre weld and AA membership.
Seat manual, all you need is on this web site
Engine cover (guaranteed your clips are broken anyway) will allow the engine to cool quicker/easier
Rear seats (unless you have bairns and a few mates)

Willie, does it make much difference to cabin noise with it all stripped out ?

My milltek is getting quite loud now on overrun and there would be no sub to drown it out

I'll tell you for sure next month but in sort yes, a huge difference.
Try dropping your back seats and see how much the noise increases and magnify this by 5, lol
