Strut braces

Yes they are the correct ones I have them fitted to my Ibiza :) As already mentioned the front lower strut brace can be a bit of a pig to fit, as the bolts are so tight, night before I sprayed the bolts with some WD40 and next day got it up in the air and got a large breaker bar on the end of your socket ratchet thats what I did. Hope this helps.

The last 2 pictures are from my 1.6 but they are the same fitment for the Cupra ;) The front-lower actually fits better on the Cupra as on the 1.6 it was very close to fouling on the gearbox. Also easier to fit as the sump was further forward out of the way.

Hi guys,

I have just purchased a lower strut for my mk3.

I noticed that in between the two bits where it connects there is some sort of weight which gets in the way, any ideas on what it is?

does absolutely nothing mate, have taken that weight off mine and not put it back on

it's a big lump of metal yeh?

cant wait to try it out on my mk2, havent driven it yet, meant to make a massive difference
