This whole thread is full of individual opinions, as was my reply. You should take it for what it is, an opinion which is not necessarily right or wrong.

As for the boot, it is flat. I have 18" wheels, it may be higher, haven't really noticed. The improvements for me are not are around volume within the boot but the shape of the back of the car and the increased rear window size.

thats right i gave my opinion and you should have respected my view as an opinion as i said its not aimed at any one , been through this with the K1 v cupra , and as you are new to the forums you may not fully appreciate how passionate peolpe are.
Still waiting for someone to tell me whats wrong with the old boot compared to the new 1?

I gott say I came from an 06 Sport to a face lifted FR and I'm loving the new one. The engine is far superior, not just the power but the CR is a vast improvement. My old one sounded like a tractor, this new engine is very smooth with a more controlled accelleration. Mines in white and I think it looks great, yes the badge is a bit of a blunder but hey ho. The new display is also better with much more info than the old one.

the boot - for me personally it looks better because of the kink in the middle. its only a small change, but its enough. oh and its got a proper wiper now.

And posts like this put off people posting. You quoted his post and replied "passionately" and then told him he should respect your view when replied quoting yours, wtf.

Anyway looks like I'm going to get flamed :help: because I am new (although been reading these forums for 2 years now).

I like the new face lift in general but wish they would widen the front end to make it look really mean.

I sat in the new FR in Manchester yesterday - The only downside for me is the roof lining/rear view mirror cover - pale grey. The one in Manchester is sat on 18" Black Orions - looked very tasty.. I've just owned the most fantastic lookin' K1 for 12 months and can honestly say the new FR impresses me, the rear view is better, the lights & the glass panel rear window are much better..

All new replacements take some gettin' used to - I despised the VW Scirocco at launch but it has grown on me massively.

The new FR gets a big thumbs up from a former K1 supercar owner:funk:

I prefer the pre-facelift leon - Not just because of the front bumper badge, but that is one of the things I HATE about it :)

Cant be that hard to DeBadge?

The new Technology & Convenience Pack option looks very tempting!
(Rain Sensor, Light Sensor, Rear Parking Sensors & Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror, SEAT Media System (includes Bluetooth Communications Pack), Bi-xenon Headlights and Front Parking Sensors)

I'm not keen on auto lights and auto wipers - I prefer to choose exactly when to use those and don't see that as inconvenient at all. Also, my missus' old Mk5 Golf had an auto-dimming mirror and it was a bit over-zealous... it was often too dim too quickly, so I don't have a problem with flicking the little lever myself if someone behind has forgotten they're on full beam.

However, the parking sensors, media/Bluetooth and xenons all sound very nice! :)

Hopefully not in the same way that the facelift POXHALL Astra's has the kink down the centre of the tailgate ?? :( ...then a big Chrome tailgate trim to increase the Chav stakes!

Inspiration for the Facelift Mk2

Whilst I like alot of the new facelift (back end, interior, engine, gadgets) I cant get that wide front end on the FR/Cupra out of my head. Did some digging at the weekend and appear to have found the inspiration from the design team, seen last year networking on a diving trip, with their cameras.

Looked at the face lift today at the dealer and I must say it is much better in the flesh, more than likely I'm going to have one in fact.

I was really surprised to see that the badges have actually got smaller, reversing the ever increasing trend of mahosive logo's!!
