Fans and aircon word of warning!

I have had issues for the last few weeks with the fans and aircon not working correctly, fans not working etc. There are a couple of fixes including the nime box. However if you are having problems check all the wiring to and from the fans. My problem was traced to broken/corroded wires, all the wiring is exposed to the elements or can be. Simply changed all the connectors and dodgy wiring and lo and behold everything is working perfectly. So before you go and try and replace fans etc check your wiring! Wire and connectors are also cheap!!!

Hey Ivan I have the same issue as u with fans and a/v not workin - all fuses etc fine

where did your wires corrode - just hoping u can give me a head start

From memory it was the nearside front of the car underneath.
You will need to remove the plastic shield that covers the sump to access the wiring.
