Fitted my new Grill... don't laugh!

Hi,
Decided to treat my pride and joy to a new sexual black grill so ordered 1 the other day from Sere.... Can I just say the service was brilliant, highly recommend them!
Anyway so it arrived on Friday with a few other things I ordered and my other half decided he would fit it yesterday afternoon....
Now a told him it can't be that difficult a job a few clips and job done! So he goes out armed with his teaspoon because he couldn't find a flat headed screw driver to pop the 2 pins off that held the old grill on and after that he is outside for ages and I mean ages.
He eventually comes in and is like ffs this is not a 2 minute job ! Have a look on the forum and see if there is any tips.... Had a look and he went bk outside to see if he could get the clips to move to pop the grill off but it wouldn't move!
Later on we had some friends around for drinks so I showed the guys the grill and asked if they could fit it.... 6 fannys later and they still couldn't get it off either ! Eventually my friends boyfriend who is really good with cars came around and managed to do it himself!!
Ha ha did anybody else have this much bother changing the grills!!!

Took me 2 minutes to do mine popped out the 2 expanding poppers in the top and pulled it off the clips and smashed in the new one

I just changed my bumpers last weekend,the grilles are not very easy to change but only takes about 15 mins tops.

I had a hard time changing mine, i just couldnt find the holding clips behind it and i didnt want to break it!

A car minded person had it off in about 20 seconds for me!

I used a pair of long nosed plyers to pop the little pins up, not a spoon.

Spoons are only usefull for one thing.......eating!! Just dont be scared to give the badge a good tug to get it out

Spent about 3-5 mins getting the old one of. Used plyers as well - seems to be the right tool for this job.

I got a new grill (also from Sere!) and was advised it could be fiddly...I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 3 seconds. It literally just popped straight off. I pulled up and out prettty hard and it came off, then the next just popped straight in.

Not a spoon.... couldn't stop laughing when he actually got the spoon out and when a read your comment!! It's alright we can at him, I thought he was a fanny for using it!!

u didn't offend! I thought it was quite funny actually!! Alot of people assume because u like cars u must automatically be male! How did u get on did u send Sere a comment.... I think I got the last grill though

"Dave 88" - Spoons are not only useful for eating (or getting Leon grills off!), they are good for stiring drinks, measuring a teaspoon and for getting bicycle tyres off! I'm replacing my grill tomorrow - wish me luck!

Lol went out, 2 clips out top , Pull back screwdriver -pop pop - grill out , New grill in- Push- pop pop - screw screw.. took all of 1 min?
