TT subframe bushes

Just thought I would tell everyone my findings on fitting the Audi TT front subframe bushes on the Leon SE TDI. Well...unbeleavable I Also fitted a lower brace, which I made myself and the handling is fantastic! The car goes round corners like it's on rails And I dont have a strut brace yet!
Apart from these mods my suspension is standard......

now buy yourself a rear arb and feel even more difference in the suspension mate, rear arb will be more noticeable than the front mods youve already done.....

good work making the lower brace aswell

fit tt wishbone bushes aswell when you get chance, massive difference also

Ah yes, I do have the TT wishbone (solid rubber) bushes

can i just clarify, is this the front rear bush that makes the difference i.e if you picture an L upside down representing the wishbone , it would be the bottom one.

It's the round bush that is towards the rear of the car, if that makes sense.

Just out curiosity, this wishbone bushes upgrade is it the number 3 item in this pic that you mean?

If so the part number 8N0407181B that is fitted to the TT and the mkiv R32 is also fitted to the Cupra R according to vagcat and vw spares.


are these the same external and internal circumferences then?

I need to change one of these bushes on my car so figure I might aswell put 2 better ones in while im there if they fit.

It's the MK1 TT roadster ones you want, all the other ones have webs or rubber joining the outer and inner parts of the bush, the roadster ones are solid rubber

These are the TT roadster subframe bushings.

They are nearly all alloy with a rubber covering. I have them fitted to my own car.

Part numbers.
8N0 199 282C - UPPER BUSH (X2)
8N0 199 282D - LOWER BUSH (X2)
N 907 528 01 - SUBFRAME STRETCH BOLT WITH BIGGER WASHER (X2)

I also have the tt wishbone bushings fitted. Solid rubber vs bushings with a void in them.

They are wishbone bushings not subframe bushings, see my post above

The 181B are also fitted to the cupra R it would appear.

Yes, spotted that now Was reading the thread title, it mentioned subframe bushings.

The 181B's are shared across a few vag cars, TT, S3, Cupra R.

But they are the ones for the job then?

Didn't want to buy them then find they're the wrong size or something when ive got all the suspension stripped down.
Wonder why they didnt fit them to the non-cupra R's, guess is for ride comfort probs.

whats the 182A part? it doesnt recognise on vagcat.

you can still further enhance the front (rear) wishbone bushes to Audi TT mk I DEFCON inserts.
(These are not the TT mk 2 bushes for rear wishbones...as they are the same as on a LCR!!)

Defcon is only the inserts to convert mk2 TT rear bushes,(which we already have fitted) to........mk1 TT rear bushes........Thats what LCR owners need for an upgrade.
Cupra owners upgrade is the TT mk2 bushes as in previous posts.


SUBFRAME TT bushes do make a big difference, i have been informed, as per title

Man this makes me confuse others
