Got my new dv fitted the other day. Its totaly changed the power delivery of the car. It now doesn't kick in until 4,000 but when it kicks in its much stronger than i've known it on this car. Think the old dv wasn't rite when i bought the car. Wish it was accross more of the rev range tho, take advantage of that hybrid a bit more!

but i dont think it was ever running rite. Talking to a mate whos clued up and he said if the dv valve was totaly shut it would make it spool up quicker but not be as savage. Ultimatley it wasn't working rite but it is now. Maybe spring in dv needs changing???????

Surely 4000rpm is much to late for the power to come in?

I no mines not a 'R' but my LC spools up at about 1500 and is on boost about 2000rpm and changing my standard valve to the forge one didn't really change anything.

Exactly the same as mine.

4000rpm does seem awfully high up the revs?

i think so too. Its probably pulling from 2,000 but it really kicks at 4,000. Not sure what spring in in the dv. Do the hybrids kick in later but keep the power for higher up the rev range? It hardly drops any boost approaching the red you see. Not sure if thats just the way its been mapped.

If your running a hybrid turbo (KO3s I assume) then you should be hitting boost about 500rpm less than standard, not 4000rpm. Sounds like you might have a flat spot somewhere there maybe? Have you had it remapped properly by a recommended tuner or at all for that matter?
