I'm just thinking out loud here really; but when fitting an aftermarket front ARB to an LCR, do the oem droplinks get used - ie, does the ARB still attach to the struts, or does it attach to the wishbones as per the cupra set up?
Cheers.

Just to set my mind at ease lads. I have a leon cupra but have the Koni FSD's fitted which have the ARB mounting points on. So this would mean that i could buy the LCR ARB kit as the rear is the same as the LC i take it.
I have asked this before but do worry about making sure its right as dont want to order the kit drop the subframe and then find that its wrong.

Firstly most kits don't fit the LCR due to the rear ARb clashing with the exhaust, but you have a Cupra so rear should be OK.

Front LCR is different, and even with the carriers on the front I think you may have issues getting it to fit. It's quite a tight path with subframes, steering racks etc etc...........maybe a trial and error job

What's the issue just using the LC kit and drop links?

I'm pretty sure the subframes are the same part numbers so in theory the LCR front ARB would fit but as above if you are very low you might have other clashes

Yea rear isnt an issue as have a aftermarket exhaust. Oh didnt realise it could be still probs fitting it. My steering rack is making some wining noises so looking to change that for the LCR one which is quicker!? Thought that by fitting the LCR (isnt the R32 one the same fitment?) ones that connect to the strut that that was the best for handling? Undecided whether to get the eibach kit or go for the R32 front one and Eibach rear.

Hi Willie know i have had a quick chat with you about this before and u always have some good info fair play (will be audi tt rear front bushes going on when i do it thanks to your info mate). Car is dropped 35mm so cant see any probs with clearance.

Been reading on the golf sites that alot of people going for the R32 one. Also do Eibach make a kit for the LCR then as doesnt seem to list it?

Alright bud,

As far as I'm concerned I'd go for the R32 one every time. the LCR one is 18/19mm, then there are two R32 ones, 21mm and 23mm. Te 21mm R32 one is about £85 and the 23mm is £100. most of the After market ones are £100 +. No brainer for me, R32 all the way

Yea know a boy in VW aswell so will see what he comes back with price wise but should be 10-15% off. Think it will be a 23mm R32 then and then get the 25mm rear eibach. Cheers lads

Is there anything else i should be getting when i get the R32 ARB then lads (essential or advisory). Will do the front rear tt bush swap at the same time (saying that i presume its the same one on the r32?? so will get a bit of discount off it)?

Hey Willie, should i be fitting r32 front ones aswell then or the standard leon/golf ones. I know that they dont get as much of a beating as the rears. Also would you know if all the drop links will be the same? Cheers in advance.

PS i wonder if the complete r32 wishbone will fit as would be a much easier job to fit it with all the bushes pre installed. Normally only looking at £20 for a standard golf/leon fron wishbone with the bushes installed! going on the golf site for a bit of investigation into this one :). see what i find.

The drop links are the same for the S3/TT/LCR. No real need to change these but it's an option if you want to blast the whole handling and not have to worry about anything again.
Also the ball joints are prone to excessive wear giving knocking problems.

I would doubt the R32 wish bones were cheap, but would be good to see the price

Right ordered the R32 ARB and will have it tomoz (mucho cheapness at £60 inc vat for the 23mm one, but that was a massive favour :)). R32 Wishbones complete are silly money (£170 each) so ordered the rear bushes with the ARB bushes. Just gonna get the ball joints ordered aswell now before i have a nice weekends work lol:).
Hey willie are the S3/TT/LCR drop links different aswell then as with the car lowered 35mm would it make a difference in which ones to fit?
