Does anyone know when RNS 510 will be available to order for a FL Cupra? don't like the navi on official pics( is it from a new Polo??) it's a pity Seat doesn't announce the whole list of options for facelift leons...

The local dealer in Inverness got two white facelifts in today and I went straight round to look at them. Both standard, the only options added were the 18" wheels, bluetooth and one had a sunroof. I've had 8 SEAT's, current, red 06 MK2 FR diesel, before that red 55 MK1 FR diesel, Blue 02 1.8 Cupra petrol, the rest were standard run of the mill cars, Leon, Toledos. I bought the MK1 brand new and loved it to bits. Thought the MK2 was okay. I must say that I walked into the show room today and couldn't resist buying the face lift with the sunroof. I know its white but it is gorgeous. Should be ready for collection tomorrow. The photos on here are very misleading regarding the front bumper. Looks good in the flesh I promise you. Took a few photos today of it in the show room and I'll try and post them......just new to the site today so please bare with me. The dash is far better than the previous one. The engine is far better too, very smooth, very quiet compared to my MK1 and MK2.

I'm keen to know how you get on. I've been looking to buy a MK2 for a while, but the MPG was a could do better.

But the facelift car with the new engine is suposed to be much better.

You need to upload it to something like photobucket first, then post a link to it.

However as your new you can't post links untill you have 15 posts, if you want you could email them to me, and I'll put them on for you.

The only thing that's wrong with it is that the spare wheel is full size whereas the previous one had a space saver. RESULT - boot bottom is now got a spare wheel sticking up in the middle with a suitably shaped carpet over the top.seriously not practical. I enquired about buying space saver and new carpet and was informed that it would be 250 notes. I'll be phoning a scrappy or swapping with my old MK2. What were SEAT thinking of

Hmmm, odd that they've put a full size wheel in, surely a space saver is cheaper for them as well?.

Anyway, congrats on the purchase, definetly a very nice car, if I had the money I'd consider one. But untill such times the trusty mk3 Beeza will have to do lol.

Nice car Bilsten! Can you comment more on the differences between your old FR TDi and your new one in terms of the engine. Is your new one petrol or diesel? That car looks awesome, just what I would like to get. Any pics of the interior dash?

In that case would like to hear from you Bilsten (or anyone else in the same position), as someone who has driven both TDi FR engines, and what your opinion is, for example- noise, MPG, power/response etc.

No pics of the inside yet but like I said I'm hoping to get it later today so I'll do the biz later. The dealer only got them in yest afternoon and called me straight away, my mate is the sales manager and always gives me the heads up on nice cars he is getting in. Both white ones he got in yest are already sold!

I liked the performance of the MK1 Leon diesel FR I had (55 plate special edition with cupra body kit and wheels) The gears seemed to have a wider rev range and higher speed although the top end was pretty much like for like with the MK2 Diesel FR i have at present, until later hopefully. The MK2 is very aggressive through the gears when the turbo kicks in and prob gives a sportier feels to it. Only had a short run in the facelift but it seems to be a mixture of both, smoother, quicker and quieter. forgot to add new one is diesel too.
