just before I take the plunge and buy one of these can someone confirm in Lamans terms (but without sarcasm if possible
) what they actual do and how important they are to change straight away.
Basically I have a fault showing as the EGT sensor, I have mentioned it in another thread but i just want to focus solely on this bit now. Is it something that could be just a loose connection or more so something that will be just nakered
One thing for sure is that when the fault code is cleared the car idles rough as a badger as it isn't used to running as normal.

but it seems to mean it's nackered. As I say with the fault in the car runs fine as the ECU has adapted to it, clear it for a second though and it's terrible
and need a clean out so t might be worth doing this before you buy one.
