Is there any way I can adapt the doors to take 4x6/6x9 speakers? Rounded/Rectangular

Or where else could I put speakers in my 1.4 '98 3dr sxe?
Already got 6x9s in my parcel shelf.

i dont think so, theres nothing attached to the panel of the ibizas i dont think, so should just come off after taking out a couple of screws.

does your panel already have a speaker hole?

Yes, already has standard vw speakers in also, not sure on the size, I believe they're the same as a mk3 golf :S

just take the panel off then and cut it to size then, they should be either 4" or 6"... mine doesnt have any speaker holes because Seat were being cheap when they made my car lol

Back in the day when I had a Golf Mk2 GTi, I used some of these custom door pods.

I got a mate to make them up for me, but I am sure they are available commercially. People who make custom stealth parcel shelfs may make them?

Back in the day when I had a cd player and speakers lol. I had a pioneer headunit, pioneer door speakers the same as standard and poineer 6x9's in the shelf and tbh after a few days playing about with the settings it sounded really good!

I've had cars in the past with subs etc.... but I was very impressed with the set up I had in the Ibiza, even had people check my boot because they wouldn't believe I didn't have a sub or amp in the boot.

So I would say get a set of door speakers (same size as standard) and some 6x9's with a good headunit and then it's happy days. Sounds amazing inside the car.... I'm not a fun of letting everyone on the street hear my music playing so I was happy wth it :)

i had the same setup in my old astra, had an amazing set of 6x9's in the boot, bass was good (not sub-like) but then again i didn't want sub-bass, i was just looking for crisp sound, and people thought i had spent 1000's when i really didn't, its all about getting the right equipment (i got a touchscreen JVC which was £350 and was released like 2-3months before) got it for £70 off fleabay as the person wrote-off their car!
and i got a 1000W amp off a mate who also wrote-off his car (and was claiming for another one) so got that for £25 (worth like 200) haha i'm so indian :)
