Change the wheels to cupra ones(Dark grey colour), Get proper Black lights or get them properly sprayed and lackered and honestly your onto a winner. Good job so far. Keep it up m8 ;)

No doubt ill be changing the wheels at some point but im happy with them at the moment and the grey tinted lights are growing on me, it was the guy at the bodyshops idea to have it done. Thanks mate :D

I have to say I really like this car. I think the roof/bonnet/spoiler looks brilliant, like the exhaust, and obviously the cupra bumper looks great.

However, like has already been said, get some all black mirrors, would improve it 100%.

Also, I think some VAG wheels would look alot better (vrs/rs4/cupra/leon starfish).

Finally, I wouldn't put something saying FR on it on my car because my car isn't an FR. I just think it's a tiny bit chav to do that.

Anyway, I think its a great looking car and if your happy your happy, thats the end of it.

Thanks man :D I love the cupra bumper too, it really gives it a more aggressive look.

I see what your saying about the gearknob but it looks much better than the standard one and its much more comfortable.

Cheers its good to hear everyones opinions :)

i agree , ibiza cupra wheels in anthrecite! fk black rear lights and your sorted lose tinited lights look gash, no offence!, dont think the wheels suit the car. looks good but they let it down! ur dad could get hold of cupra rims im sure! ;)

Yes mate, as has been said by Arnoldo and jwilkinson some VAG wheels would be nice just unsure on what to go for really. Im down to these: Octy vRS wheels, IC wheels or LCR wheels. Probably do these the same color as the roof.

If i remember correctly it was my dad that sold you the LCR wheels? How does it handle with the bigger wheels on your ibiza? and any power loss?

Thanks for all the comments :)

Thanks, i think it goes really well with the rest of the car. Although i would have kept the lights standard, the tints have grown on me :)

Well iv been looking at touchscreen head units the for the last couple of weeks searching on the fourm and google so...

1. Whats the difference between the 1 din/double din?

2. Is there any that would not require cutting?

3. I saw one a few weeks ago that slides away (so thieves dont try to nick it) but cant seem to see any at a decent price, i.e. around £500

Thanks :)

aa single din is like a cd player, lonh rectangle that fits in the space, a double din fits in the cd player slot and the slot below, that tray gets removed and a big screen will go in both spaces, no cutting should ever be required

Some cutting will be required for the DVD type double DINs. The plastic struts which hold the existing tray in need to be removed for it to slot in.

Don't think there is a facia for the mk5 yet.

And if there is, I don't think it would fit double din, as the slot for the mk5 radio is very wide, but not tall enough to accommodate doublin din from what I can remember when I saw one.

My gran has a mk5, i cant remember it either so ill have to have a look when she is back over.

This is probably the case, if so i dont know what to do

I was hoping, as beezapom was saying, that it would fit with a facia.

slick, question about the rear spoiler, do you only need to unbolt the 4 bolts underneath it and take the brakelight out? or do you need to break some glue?
also for installation: do you need special tools?

about the dvd player
this one is from pioneer, just fits in the double din
think it looks great, still is one my wishing list

Well I did'nt fit the spoiler, it was fitted along with the rest of the stuff at the bodyshop. If its anything like my mates clio it will just be the four bolts, although he didnt have a brake light.

That actually looks really nice! :) Have you got a link to the website? If its reasonably priced I may get it

If you want one with satnav, the cheapest one from Pioneer is the AVIC-D3, same as mine. Found it cheapest at £550, whereas if you don't need the satnav, the pioneer P3100, P4000 or P4100 is your best choice at about £200 less

You really cant go wrong with it, brilliant layout, easy to use may be hard at first but you get used to it and a really clear screen.

£20 cheaper, allows you to pay for the Ipod lead :D

Ordered mine from there because it was so much cheaper than what other people were asking. took a while to get here but worth the wait saving the money

Just been looking at that P3100, and apart from the screen being a tiny bit smaller with the larger buttons (probably easier to use) I can't see a difference?
http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25/109/281/compare.html
it has a front USB in as well which is always handy, but then again if you use the ipod a lot, its best to have the USB bit at the rear, as it cleans it up a bit, then run the cable through the centre console and have your mp3 sitting under the handbrake, classy :D

If you want to have a look at what it would sort of look like in the dash, have a thumb through my thread, mine looks pretty similar to the p4000

Well I bought the double DIN cage, then my fitter told me I didn't need it as they come with a cage and the fascia plates already, which is a bonus
