Head light inductioin kit

After being at Knockhill a few years ago and noticing a race spec Clio with a head light induction kit it has got me thinking.
The LCR induction hose runs to the back of the head light.
Was thinking of buying a spare head light and modifying it to give a great force fed cold air supply for track day driving (obviously not legal for road driving).

Anybody been into the guts of the Leon passangers side head light and could comment on how easy or difficult this would be and perhaps a few hints on how best to do it?

I'm thinking it just needs to be a case of removing the front glass/plastic. Leaving the light frame intact strip out the guts of the light and fabrimake some sort of large ID funnel/scoop for the cold air.
This wouldn't have to mean moving the battery but plan to do this anyway.

Anyone good with plastic forming and plastic glues comment on how easy this would be to do?
I've never had any experince of this so any hints or tips on this will help.
Can you use any stiff plastic?
Whats best?
What glues are best/cheapest?

Cheers

may get a tad tedious, bumper on and off just to change headlight for track session ??

just thinking the same...

also would a larger scoop do anything as the turbo isnt exactly air starved to start with. cant see any difference in position as youve only moved the intake a few inches from the OEM position?

Willie, if you only replace the main beam with the air scoop, and keep the dipped beam reflector, it will still be road legal iirc. You will still be able to fit a large feed just using the mean beam area; although a light with a projector style dipped beam might be easier to work with?

Didn't think about the head light change being a bumper off jobbie, hhmmm
Bumper off aint too big a deal but not really what you want to do at a track prior to going out and prior to going home.
Whats the legal/MOT implications of having a big feck off hole in the passangers wing?
OR a hole covered with a mesh?

sprinter wing vents...

theres plenty of styles about, but ive seen a few with the one above. Not sure which would suit a leon though. I was thinking of using a plasma cutter to make a cutout of the R... ok if you have engineers for mates! :D

Install is as easy as cut wing, weld in vent, smooth and repaint. Bit of a hastle, but once its done, its done!

Yup scoop or wing vents are a possibility.
TBH not too bother about the looks, as long as its not a WWWOOOOOHHHHH check that scoop or vent out sort of thing.
My car will be a track/fast road car for me so the worlds my oyster:)
