yeah if you drop the whole thing in lol. For the expence try and put something cool
in there, absolutly no idea what will fit but VR6 etc could be worth looking at, as the sound alown will be enough, plenty of other engines to look at. I doubt a 1.4 n/a like yours will share much with a 1.4t!

ps lupo 1.6gti engine would fit, prob need transmission etc but it would fit under the bonnet and that is a cool motor (130bhp??)

i dont no bout a engine swap, kinda reli want to do this, stand out from the crowd and wat not, wat about a supercharger? less work envolved???

your are going down a completely bespoke and custom route, with many aspects having to be made/cut/modified, so you are looking at the best part of a few grand, even if you are doing it yourself

I have seen this topic come up time and time again over the years on here, and the usual answer is just buy something quick as standard.....which IMO is what you should do. Unfortunately you are flogging a dead horse in tuning your engine

not only that but as you are adding alot more power to the your factory spec engine, I doubt the internals will be able to cope.....which means you will have to change the rods etc etc......= more money

not what you wanted to hear, but you have to think out the costs and the end result. I reckon if you did do it, and worked out how much you have spent, you could have bought a standard, reliable and still faster higher specced car

agree - plus the 1.4 16v in the car is about the worst VW engine so far... its the wrong starting block
