Hi, does anyone know how difficult it is to fit a stainless manifold? had it for a little while now but keep worrying how much its gonna cost me to get fitted as i got told that the engine will have to be dropped out as the manifold as at the back of the engine. heres a pic of the one i have.

This is probably a dumb question but why do they not fit the standard turbo? I seen these on ebay for £100 and they say direct fitment to 99-06 leon 1.8t with T3 flange?

I'm guessing the T3 is different mounting to the Ko3?

Don't laugh at me if I don't ask I wont know :redface::cartman:

a £100 for a shiny tubular manifold:blink:

if that fits I would be very surprised and I bet it would crack within hours of it fitting too

There quite a few places selling them on there for £100 some say T3 flange others just say for Leon 1.8T so I was just wondering why they didnt fit standard turbo :confused:

they're selling them because people will buy them (as paperweights)

Sorry... I think you have wasted your money

is that showing the turbo mounting point parallel with the exhaust ports of the head ?

if people on this site, like myself, are paying around £200 for a decent high flow cast manifold and then around £500 for a tubular manifold....then paying £100 for a "shiny" tubular manifold just speaks volumes

oh dear, i guess thats what i get from buying blind i suppose. :(
i suppose all i can do is just try it and see what happens, i wasn't going to put it on until i got a bigger turbo anyway. what turbo would be better for my car? garret GT28R or turbo from Cupra R?

chuck it in the bin, it's of no use to you

IF you got a turbo to fit it, ancillaries ie the exhaust cannot clear parts of your car (RHD / LHD issues)

understandable, but its well known that a stainless steel is smoother than cast so gases can travel quicker with less resitstance thats why i dont want a cast one, shame im soooooooo stupid. but good try lol :bleh:
