Hi,
Does anyone know about a whisling one a Leon. It's a 1.9tdifr 150 with about 65k on the clock.
You can hear the noise when you are pulling away between 1000 and 2000rpm then after that i think the engine noise drowns it out.
It's defo not the sound of the turbo it's like some one is actually whistling in my car and as the revs build up the noise gets higher.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem whith theres.
thanks!!!

Does the noise change when cornering, accelerating, when at certain rev ranges etc. It may something from under the bonnet, but it could also be a good ol' fashioned wheel bearing on the way out.

It does it while I'm accelerating from stand still and it get higher pitched as i go faster so i think it could be a boost leak. i can hear it better from inside the car rather than with my head under the bonnet!!
