Well after trying to save money and not modify the car, I got to playing around with the car this weekend and the modifying bug is back.

Plans are as follows:
Get the shocker fixed, top mounts replaced and bushes
Kei Force 10 wheels
Spacers
Rear Arb
312 brakes fitted

Then possibly,
FMIC
130 hyrbid turbo
Full exhaust
Injectors
Remap.


Going to get some current pictures up at the weekend when I can get chance to take some.

With the car getting smashed into, some rust, winter and some damaged parts I have been rather put off. But got that modifying feeling back, screw buying an ST its mod time!!!!!!!!

first quesiton in what may become a very long thread is, should I decat the car when I get a new exhaust or not?

I know that it looses some pressure and puts strain on the turbo but is the car quicker and sound better without. If not remove then should I replace with a sports cat or is the original good enough.

Curious because Im getting a price for an exhaust made up.

I didn't get one as I heard you lose back pressure on a standard turbo... just went for Milltek cat-back non resonated!

Yeh glad you are officially back I noticed you had crept back ha ha your all coming back now!!

I have just got a non re Milltek cat back. (not on the car yet but knight85 fitted his recently) would have bought the whole system but can't justify that much money only really got the Milltek as Awesome were doing a once in a lifetime deal.
I'm sure I heard to de cat makes the car really smoky and not too good but I could be wrong?

It makes it smokier and smellier - but it frees the engine up alot! For example, I can run my car at tickover revs (30 in 4th) and it'll quite happily drive along at 1000rpm. Admittedly it won't pull well from there! But it will drive like it.

Personally I'd never go back to a cat! I love my decat! Sounds the mutts nuts and you can certainly have some fun with the smoke!

yep...i got cat-back non res....really good, love the look and noise...im contemplating a decat but think i might leave it as heard about the smoke etc...

i had a milltek cat-back for sale (ordering mistake)....but im afraid it sold yesterday

I've got the milltek turbo back decat on my fr and i don't notice the smoke. It doesn't lose pressure either, just revs better and sounds nice.

pics yay! Nah Milltek is expensive so you are better off I would have done the same but at the time their deal was so good it was the same price as a custom so went for it.

small update, replacement shock is on way now getting fitted on the 2nd. Cost me 100 notes, might get some money back though later.

Alloy wheels are also getting ordered next, £675 17" Kei Force 10 Hyper Silver with Toyo Tyres, locking wheel bolts and new wheel bolts. Blanced and fitted to my door, good price?

Millteks are very expensive for what they are! My powerflow system sounds alot nicer than Millteks and does exactly the same job but for literally half the price. Plus it comes with a lifetime warranty!
