I like what you have did with the speakers/tweeters/cross-overs on the parcel shelf. Like the subwoofer box you built aswell.

My god! Tell me about it, I'm so bad - I definatley have OCD - I'm talking about - the heater settings need to be straight, vents need to be resting straight in the fascias, sterring wheel has to be straight and the gear HAS to be in neutral!... And I wash my car twice a week and polish it all the time!!... I have never been obsessed with anything either tbh...

Right, I thought I'd update a bit, ordered some tinting spray to do the rear lights and the side repeaters.

Before:

I like the way they've turned out, let a lot of light through as well....only downside is I've got a few dry lines on the rear lights, anyone got any suggestions on applying the tint properly smoothly but without getting it to thick?

Also to come during this week, white GTI dials with rev counter and red neons for my boot setup :p

thanks mate

I had to take it all out...took the middle vent out by turning it to one side and pusing the top down to unclip it, then i could get a proper grip of the surround and just slowly yanked it out :), thats the passenger side though...

the drivers side is harder, the light switch needs taking out first,
take the middle vent out first, then you have to take the glovebox out, reach under and theres a clip that needs pushing up, then you can slowly pry the light switch out, if you cant reach the clip just use a flat thin screw driver at the top of the unit to unclip it...requires a bit of force but worth it in the end :)
