Our cupra goes in tomorrow to an alloy wheel place to have the alloys refurbed, it will take until Friday, just to make sure they dont drive the car I will tell them the car has a fault and not to drive it, is there any plug I can pull under the bonnet to stop boost?

Just tell them not to drive it and tell them you have noted the exact mileage.

Dropped the car off, it was in the county side and really no where to rag it so I told them I had made a note of the mileage and he said "we dont drive the cars", so we shall see:rolleyes:

The only prob with valet mode is that whilst good, its a dead give away to the dealer that your car is mapped.

Actually it makes me wonder that if they were to drive and crash you car (say they attempted an overtake and then realised that your car was limited to 50mph), if it caused a fatality and you had not informed them of the valet limited, would we be liable for manslaughter? Worth considering?

Surely you would have it on "stock" mode for the dealers though mate? I think Valet mode would be more for leaving it with someone cleaning the car or similar.

Surely if you're having the wheels done it'll be on bricks/axle stands for a bit anyhow?
