I have been looking at film suppliers on the web, but all supply in large roles - we need a supplier of matt black film in small quantities, or a Yorkshire livery/wrap company who can give us a quote.

Cant be too expensive for the small area required under bumper and round number plate.

We just need some recommendations from members....:funk:

All the film suppliers will give you a sample if asked nicely (if you ask really nicely they may give you bit big enough to do the lower! its only a couple of meters). Buying it and installing it are kinda different tho, pity you guys are in sheffield or I would fit for you. Maybe you could get a couple more cars together and we could work something out??[B)]
PM me if you like and I may be able to help?

Thats sign vinyl mate, it will do but you have to know how to put it on, seal it and trim it or it will be bubbly, pimply, ill fitting vinyl! Plenty available in the UK tho mate, don't get it sent from the states!

and if I didnt like it is it easily removed?
Its the main benefit of vinyl mate, a wrapped car can be de-installed in less than a day, paint below is unaffected (and protected by the film to boot!). everyone wants a lairy coloured car but just try selling one!, vinyl is the answer!!:D

Cool I want a black roof and a black rear diffuser on my k1. How do I go about getting this done? Not just any old vinyl place can do it?

You need someone who wraps vehicles mate, pref for a living. A vehicle film will give you more durability and a better finish when applied correctly.

Would be interested to see how they work out for you Mike, their website shows some good work with commercial and print vinyl's I am sure they can colour change as well (not the same but close in skill terms) If the are local to you I am sure thats a result, things to look for when looking at their work would be the consistency of the vinyl as applied and the edges, whats the trimming and sealing like and if they have any joints or overlaps how do they look?. as said print and colour wrap are not identical in skills but from their website they look pretty hot!

Went to North Star Signs near Barnsley and they can wrap my FR bumper in matt or gloss black to look like the Cupra, costs as follows:-

Labour - £70-90 ( two people for just over an hour) though this would likely reduce if more than one car was done (anyone else??)
Matt wrap - £20 per car
Gloss wrap - First two cars free as they have some spare, then £10 per car.

Tempted to go ahead, but unsure whether painted would be cheaper or give a better finish. Going to give it a week and see if I can source a spare crono cupra front bumper, then will give these guys a try.

One snag is that they cant lift the car, at the workshop so to get to underside of bumper I may need to source a second car jack to lift the car at both sides.

these guys did a friend of the family's lambo, amazing quality.
even when you open the doors there was no existing colour on display and it protects the paint work too...
wish my budget stretched for a full car's worth!
