Fog Light

Just got back from a 500 mile round trip yesterday, and noticed I've picked up a crack in one of my Foglights -

Does anyone know if these are a sealed unit like the Mk1 or is the glass available separately?

Anyone have an idea on price?

Sealed unit mate. Someone ordered a Mk1 foglight last year and got sent a Mk2 by mistake as I remember. From Ebay.

Yeah it's sealed can't get glass on it's own.Bout £110 from Seat but I got one for £25 from ebay. Then I've put mesh over so it doesn't happen again. It's expensive and from what i've heard it happens a lot.

Have used a pair of VW Polo 2/hand fogs cut the glass out and rebonded £25.00 from a breakers

I'm in the same boat mate, noticed a crack in mine too. Going to try David at Seremotors when I am back though, he's a great guy when it comes to parts!!

I've managed to crack two fog light surrounds (mesh bit) from stone chips.

if it helps, the numbers are 5P0941703 (passenger) and 5P0941704 (driver)
rrp £91 each but we normally charge £63

Mine has 5P0 941 699 marked on it!

Looks exactly the same as the ebay one - have just mailed him with the part number and he's going to check for me

Mine has 5P0 941 699 marked on it!

Thats the number for the factory fitted item - for some reason the spare part number is different Same item for sure, trust me Im a dealer

I'd just get them off ebay, £25 inc delivery I got it. the unit is perfect fit and function...

Oh and mesh for protection. Remove the girll surrounding the foglight, get any sort of metal mesh, i opted for a black small honeycomb type.
Cut and bend around the 'hole' where the foglight shines through. I then taped it in place before using a strong adhesive to bond it to the grill surround.
Cheap mod maybe £4 but saves lot of problems, I can see it's been struck since fitting it so that's £110 potentially saved already.

Just for interest, the Altea foglights are the same part number, but laddo on Ebay charges more for the Altea.

yeah, absolutely no difference in emitted light. Just as bright.
