What are peoples thoughts on a lumina orange FR with optional 18's, ipod and convenience pack but no bluetooth?

Nath get the Bluetooth, it really males the car and give it a few years when you come to sell it on it will be the perfect spec (Only missing HIDs) as i guess Bluetooth will become a standard fit and must have in years to come.

Thing is the car in question is already built, it's in the showroom with 24 miles on the clock. and the dealer wants rid before they have to register it. It then becomes a pre reg car and the price drops.

Maybe I should spec one with B/T and wait for it then?

I dont have bluetooth. Its one of those things that you dont miss if you have never had it. Get a parrot kit if you really need a phone kit.

If you are getting a cracking deal on the car, go for it.

The deal is a new leon fr tdi (25 miles on the clock) with 18's, ipod and convenience pack in orange for £17.5k

I am between a rock and a hard place, I don't know if I should or not.

Is that a good deal?

Seems a touch pricey especially with a new model around the corner. Regards the Bluetooth I have it but i'm sure an aftermarket kit will do the job just fine.

If you want a NEW pre-face lift FR TDi that car (and I do mean that very car) along with maybe one or two others are your only options. If you spec one for a factory build you'll get a face-lift one, but with those options (and the orange paint) I think you'll be up above the 17.5K they are asking for it.

I don't have BT on my K1 and tbh if I need it that bad I'll fit a 3rd party system. If the price is right without it then do it but try thrash em down because it don't ;)

The Bluetooth doesn't just add Bluetooth to the car though, it's the mfd that really finishes it all of being able to go into the settings and change thing like if 1 door or all doors unlock when you press the fob once. Or setting how long your headlights stay on for. There are quite a few bits it adds. I wouldn't spec a new car without it now.

The only feature I was looking for was hid's and wasnt too bothered about bt but didn't end up finding one with hid's. Now the only feature I would deffo look for is bt after using it.

dont forget the bluetooth option is not only about having a hands free phone;

caller, phone book, last dialed, missed calls, etc displayed on larger mfd.
setting of convenience functions.
sat nav guidance and audio track/artist display (if you have sat nav)
extra warnings
extra dash lights
enhanced resaleability
etc

I quite like the lumina orange however I don't think it's an nice as the focus ST orange.
