Went to change my Sony Stero around today... it has been fitted for about 3/4 months.

Swapped it from top DIN space to botton space... put it all back together... doesn't work!!

Took is back to Halfords the guy in there did something so now it works but it runs all the time i.e. even when the car is off.

But now my Remote Central locking doesn't work!! It locks when I use the lock on the door but when I push my button nothing!

My cars clock was reset to 00:00 when we were checking the fuses, so has this reset the coding on the central locking?

Please Help! I'm going mad here!!

It's a 5amp fuse fella! I had the same problem! Look in your fuse box, there'll be a TINY little 5amp fuse that'll be blown. Pretty sure it's a red one. Replace that and all will be sorted. :)

there is a blue remote lead on the back of the head unit and you may need to to swap it around with the red live feed

hopefully there are spade/bullet connectors to just swap around

e.g red to blue/ blue to red

if its already like this then put them the right way round and try that

the warning beep may be due to a dodgy door open sensor though, does your interior light still work when the door is open, or will it still fade out eventually?

i'm having the same problem atm my seat stereo works fine with no issues but the sony one just won't work, the radio on the sony works which is wierd but the cd player won't, and then sometimes it flickers on and off and won't do anything. all my doors unlock and i have no problem with any of the dash lights tho

try sawpping your ignition live and permenant live over, I had this problem with mine when I got it and that was the fault no central locking and headunit on all the time.

Tried swapping leads etc etc nothing works... it either works all the time and no central locking or not at all and my central locking works!!

Put my old radio back in (now everything is fine), thijng is the Sony one I've had for around 2-3 months and its worked fine before!! All I did was plug it in and out!

Going to have to sell the Sony One now... tested it and it works fine in Halfords Demo display so it's nothing wrong with the headunit :(

Weird one.

Lads I fixed it! Central locking and all in one go!

For those who'll search for this thread in later months/years it was Fuse number 10! Can't I missed it first time around although I was going quickly on appearance.. used a multimeter this time and found it was no. 10 now everything works perfectly again.

Is number 10 the interior light?? It has the same symbol as 2, 13, 18, 19, 30??

Don't have manual, so I can't look it up. Or are they just to symbolise "interior electrics"

That's what I thought. I looked and couldnt see a fuse blown but it was! Glad it's sorted now.
