I've just grabbed myself a set of poundland... I mean raceland coilovers :D

What do you think?

Originally I was looking for springs but couldn't find the right size, so opted for these.

I know the ride will be harsh, but surely it can't get much worse than it is already

Ignore my dirty rug :)

Never heard of them before mate. Where from and how much?

Be interesting to hear what you think of them once they are fitted.

I think most people have them for the mk3, maybe these are new?

Ebay special, £170 with free delivery from belgium ! Quick too

I'm expecting these to be a harsh ride from what the feedback is from the mk3 ppl, but for £170 all in I think its a bargain.

I can't fit these untill next weekend, as I'm away this weekend and also I think I'll change the top mounts to be safe.

No droplinks, but to be fair I can't complain for the price.

I don't think its going to be a massive drop, not sure if i'll need them.

BTW if you think the back shocks look funny its because it has the protection still in place :)

when i had a astra back in January every one used Raceland coilovers

from my understanding it was a very good kit offering a comfy ride compared to others like FK and AP.

the only thing that the people complained about was that the top mount screw bit wasnt long enough to get the strut screwed together i believe it was all sorted with the manufacture

Depends weather your coilovers have been designed to be used with shorter drop links or standard ones.

what are droplinks and why would you need shorter ones?

it has something to do with the design of the front ARB (anyone correct me if im wrong) the shorter droplinks raise the anti roll bar so stop it fouling the driveshafts! been told its only for drops over 50mm but i wanted the option so payed the extra for the links!

or this is what i was led to believe!
